REYU - Sports Injuries and Pain

Studies show that the rate of regeneration increases by 250% after treatments with electromodulation. CLEM delivers more oxygen to the tissues and reduces pain through its calming effect on the nerves. Draining the lymphatic fluids and releasing the growth factors present in the platelets contribute to the healing process.

How professional sports operate

To progress as a professional athlete, one must push one’s boundaries. For the athlete, this means creating minor injuries to trigger the next level of performance. Healing faster and better than the competitors is the name of the game. CLEM plays a considerable role in preparing the athlete before the game and controlling inflammation and repair after the game.

For the population at large, sports injuries are standard and widespread, affecting more than 10 million athletes below the age of 26 years every year in the United States alone. The causes are clear and involve a lack of tissue flexibility and insufficient blood flow to the region, which is usually temporary. Every coach’s message is to warm up.

Once injured, the athlete typically experiences symptoms including pain, swelling, bruising, and reduced mobility. Knees, shoulders, elbows, ankles, and other articulations are usually affected.

Healing Sports Injuries Faster: The Biofeedback Advantage

Sports injuries are considered “too slow to heal” because the areas that affect athletes, such as tendons and joints, are typically the least vascularized parts of the body

The “RICE” method is a standard treatment regimen for sports injuries. It stands for:

  1. Rest
  2. Ice
  3. Compression
  4. Elevation

This treatment method is beneficial for mild sports injuries when applied within the first 24 to 36 hours after the injury.

Although the RICE method is helpful, a biofeedback approach will enhance the healing of sports injuries in both the short and long term to an entirely new level. It aids in restoring the tissues by supporting the natural mechanisms of wound healing.

Why CLEM Is the New Gold Standard in Sports Recovery

CLEM simultaneously affects the nervous connections, blood flow, and lymphatic drainage. It reduces inflammation and naturally releases VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor), thereby acting like PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and VSF (vascular stromal factor, also known as stem cells).

The immediate effects are as follows: Pain relief through direct action on the nerves. Higher oxygen uptake by the red blood cells. Increased blood flow at the level of the capillaries. Both improve the oxygenation of tissues and healing in blood-poor areas, such as tendons and articulations. An activated lymphatic system drains excess fluid and toxins from the wounded area, which quickly reduces swelling.

The loops of biofeedback mediate all these actions simultaneously and exert their effects in the long term as well. Thus facilitating otherwise lengthy and complex revalidations.

When performed on the athlete before the game, REYU treatments also act preventively, reducing the risks of injury during the game. Prevention is a considerable benefit for athletes and their clubs.

The REYU Procedure

Recover Swiftly. Stop the Pain…

Initialization Phase:
As athletes are usually young and healthy, initializing their biofeedback loops is unnecessary. We start immediately with the healing phase.

Treatment Phase: Depending on the lesions, there will be a minimum of 4 four sessions, with a time lapse between each session of 1 week to 10 days. Healing is swift and usually complete. Fresh injuries are treated more frequently in the initial stages. Long-standing injuries and pain will take time and more sessions to rehabilitate.

Maintenance Phase: It is a good habit to perform a REYU session before the game, as it adds to the preventive measures, like warming up.

The treatment is pain-free.

In sports, success is often a combination of building skills through micro-injuries and the ability to heal from them completely. With each training session, we create cycles that help the body build power and resilience. Like most athletes, I was always on the lookout for top-notch healing techniques to enhance my performance.

Two years ago, I sustained a severe injury during a friendly match. My knee was struck and twisted in a wrong and forceful way. They had to stop the game and carry me to the hospital, where examinations revealed that I had torn my ligaments. Thus began a long healing journey involving endoscopic interventions, platelet-rich plasma injections, hyaluronic acid injections, and a lot of rest. However, nothing seemed to bring me back to my former level, and I ultimately had to leave the club.

A friend from university told me about a new technology involving electrical currents that regenerates tissues. At that time, I was desperate and ready to try anything.

From the first session, I noticed a difference. The swelling in my knee diminished, and I could move freely without hindrance. After just four sessions of REYU (that’s the name), my recovery was progressing so well that my trainer agreed to reintegrate me into the team. I can hardly believe it, but we won the national gold medal this year. Even my coach was amazed!
